Gilt Edge was established in 1969 initially as a manufacturer of carpet gripper (NZ Strip) and aluminum trim bars to supply to the NZ flooring industry.
Over the past 35 years the structure and focus of the company has changed tremendously with most significant transition happening in 1998 when a major restructuring was undertaken to enable the company to access the market directly. At this time Gilt Edge assumed the wider role of a specialist distributor of a comprehensive range of flooring preparation and installation products.
Whilst we still manufacture in New Zealand, the range of local and imported products that we now offer our customers has grown tenfold from floor leveling compounds and adhesives to underlay and polyurethanes, tools and machinery and much more.

Gilt Edge provide product and technical support through a comprehensive NZ wide distribution network. We have seven trade stores throughout both the North and South Islands as well as a large manufacturing and bulk store facility in Christchurch. Customers can shop in all the main centres and all deliveries are tracked and traced to meet customers demands on delivery be it same or next day virtually anywhere in the country.
