It’s been a busy few months with the August opening of our new Whangarei Trade Depot situated within the Guthrie Bowron Premises , strong business activity throughout New Zealand in addition to Gilt Edge developing some exciting new additions to our product range which are noted on the following pages.

1969-2019 - 50 Years, Half A Century, The Golden Jubilee
In 1969, Neil Armstrong walks on the moon, 400,000 people turn up at Woodstock and Gilt Edge started producing "Tackless Gripper" in a small manufacturing base in Christchurch NZ, what a memorable year.
From such humble beginnings finds us 50 years on as one of the leading solution provider and wholesaling distributors in NZ for flooring construction, installation and preparation products. We’ve grown to 9 locations nationwide which are all proudly supported by a team of 30 professional and energetic staff.
Over the past 20 years our working Directors Chris Dickey (MD) and Nick Richardson (GM) have together with the support of the GEIL team driven and evolved the business as we see it today. Grant Dickey (Founder) and shareholder still remains active at board level.
We are proudly 100% NZ owned and managed. What an achievement !!!

Welcome to the November-January edition of the Gilt Edge Industries newsletter.
This is our last issue for 2018 and includes a number of featured products and information on some of our new releases. In this issue we are featuring our new Crain wood and carpet tile cutters, as well as announcing our new moisture cured polyurethane coatings partner Urethane Coatings. It also features the new re-branding of our Masonite underlay and features other flooring products and specials we hope you find interesting.
We have also recently produced a new Flooring Adhesives Catalogue that will be coming to you all soon with our entire range of adhesives for different floor types.

Welcome to the August-October edition of the Gilt Edge newsletter. In the past few months we have been promoting to the commercial sector our Seamless Flooring Systems featured in our last newsletter.
We have recently partnered with Eboss, the online product library providers and have been involved with them in a number of architect presentations to prominent architect practises in Auckland presenting these new Seamless Flooring Systems where we received great feedback and were able to advise them on specifications for a number of upcoming flooring projects.
We also attended the BuildNZ trade show held at the Auckland ASB Showgrounds in July and presented our new Seamless Flooring System modules that exhibit the entire system for a number of top floor coverings.
We have recently added to our website some new sections highlighting these Seamless Flooring Systems as well as a number of Case Studies and a new Product literature area where all our recently produced brochures are available to download. Check it out!

This month we are pleased to introduce two new staff members to the Gilt Edge Industries Team. Wayne Noronha has joined us in the capacity of our National Supply Chain Manager. Wayne brings a wealth of experience to the Gilt Edge team after years of international and national logistics and supply chain management that will benefit our own supply chain. Shane Driscoll has joined our Wellington based team as our Wellington Store Manager at our Gilt Edge Petone Branch. Shane comes to us with extensive warehousing and stores experience from Ullrich Aluminium that will be of great value to our Lower North Island region customers.
In this edition we are highlighting a number of marketing activities we have embarked upon. Below we highlight our new Stair Edgings and Floors Trims display cases. On the inside and last page of this year we feature some more commercial projects recently completed, our new System Flooring Systems modules, as well as a number of promotional products and new product releases for you to take advantage of.

We are pleased to announce that we have added over the break two new work sections to our current offering in Masterspec under the categories of Carpet Underlay and Stair Nosings, Transition bars and Trims. The Carpet Systems section 6511GE incorporates our range of underlay, adhesives & carpet accessories for conventionally laid, double bonded and direct stick applications for both residential and commercial applications.
The Stair Nosings, Transitions and Trims section 6614GE includes our range of the Gradus XT and Anti-slip profiles as well as our extensive range of floor finishing transitions.
The new work sections will make it easier for architects and specifiers to include these products when designing and planning new projects. This in turn will also help you when quoting new projects specified in Gilt Edge products.

On Monday 4th September we moved into a new store location 100 metres across the road from our old premises to 33 Burrows Street. The store opening was a great success and this new location will give our customers better parking facilities and a brand new store layout. Housed in the warehouse section of the Flooring First/Carpet Couple building and manned by their staff from 7.30am to 4.30pm Mon- Friday, this will provide you with the service that we hope you will enjoy.
On our Grand Opening day we ran a Shimano Fishing Rod Promotion of which Keiran White of KW Flooring Ltd was the lucky winner, Jason & Raewyn Fair with Terry Grimes, who mans the store, were on hand to present this prize. Well done Keiran hope you enjoy the fishing. We look forward to seeing you all come down to the store for great specials in the future.
We would like to introduce you to a new member of our admin staff in Christchurch. Her name is Karlissa Pierre who has replaced Nicole Verheul. Nicole has decided to take up residence in Australia with her partner and we wish her well in her travels. Karlissa will be only too happy to help with your enquiries with the rest of our admin team in Christchurch.
